mild steel and stainless stanchion glass balustrade mezzanine

Working with Cory at Retro Automotive and Patty at Epsilon we modelled and manufactured the mezzanine floor and balustrades for the eventual Retro showcase shop.

Working from supplied engineers drawings firstly was to develop the manufacturing drawings for the team at Epsilon who in turn manufactured all the structural steel and mild steel components of the stanchions.

Second task was to develop a stanchion system that would complement the glass balustrade whilst not being so complicated as to add undue cost, I would like to think we came up with a nice solution.

A final component is a rail that runs along the top, that will add structural rigidity and a clean line. Not only does it add to the aesthetics but helps again to reduce the price of the glass that can be used in the balustrading.
