Contracting for the crew at DF Transales in Mosgiel, JollyCo was given the opportunity to measure and draw for manufacture a set of drawings to fit out the pre existing University of Otago’s Lindo Ferguson Building for a new set of chillers.

Taking the original set of structural drawings, many site measurements and working with the engineers at WSP I worked up a model for the complete steel structure that would hold the roughly 3.5 ton chiller unit pair into the over 100 year old Lindo Ferguson Building roof.

From this model I produced a set of drawings for the workers at DF Transales to manufacture the structural components from.

The work was a success, with over 70 holes around the perimeter to measure and locate for Wainwright & Co Stonemasons and the corresponding holes in the structural steel that DFT manufactured we had a tolerance of 2mm for each holes alignment, and we nailed it.
